We recently worked with the Freeland Foundation to create a new iOS version of their Wildscan App and to rebuild and add features to the Android version of the app.

WildScan is a comprehensive species identification and response mobile application designed to combat wildlife trafficking. The application is designed to help frontline wildlife law enforcement agencies correctly identify, report and handle marine, freshwater and terrestrial animals caught in the illegal wildlife trade.

WildScan places critical information on endangered species, provided by leading experts in many fields, at the fingertips of those who need it most. WildScan is currently available for free on Apple and Android devices in English, Khmer, Bahasa Indonesia,Thai and Vietnamese.

The project consisted of:

  • Creating a new iOS version
  • Expanding the features of the app management web based software
  • Expanding the features of both the iOS and Android apps
  • Using cloud services / AWS to run and manage the app services and data
